A small studio, two markets, one obsession
hariken builds custom software for small businesses across the United States and Colombia. The name is the Japanese word for hurricane — a lot of force organised around a very calm centre. That is roughly the idea.
Why we exist
Good custom software has been priced out of reach for small businesses for years. The agencies that could build it aim at enterprise budgets, and the tools aimed at small businesses are built for the average of everybody, which means they fit nobody in particular.
So small companies end up with a stack of subscriptions that almost work, a heroic spreadsheet holding the rest together, and an employee whose real job title is "the one who fixes the file".
We think that gap is worth closing. Modern tooling means a focused two-week build can now do what used to take a quarter — and that changes what a small business can afford to have built for it.
